Our Story

Recipedea started with a kitchen, a curiosity, and a simple question: what does the world actually eat?

Not the sanitised, airport-lounge version of world cuisine. The real thing — the slow-cooked stews passed down through generations, the street food that defines a city, the humble weeknight dinners that become the meals people remember for the rest of their lives.

We built this website to document that world, one recipe at a time. We are starting with plant-based and vegan cooking — not because we believe everything should be plant-based, but because it is an extraordinary place to begin. It demands creativity. It teaches you to build flavour from the ground up. And it produces food that surprises people every single time.

But this is only the beginning. Recipedea is a kitchen without walls — and we are just getting started.

Right now, you will find us in the plant-based kitchen — and it is a wonderful place to be.

We are cooking vegan ramen with broths so deep and umami-rich they require no apology. We are making pulled mushroom tacos that have nothing to prove and everything to offer. We are baking fluffy pancakes that surprised everyone who assumed eggs were non-negotiable. We are simmering curries, building salads, rolling summer rolls, and making the kind of breakfast that turns mornings from a problem into something to look forward to.

This is our starting point. It is not our destination.
